HEY BIKE PARTIERS! HERE’S EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR THIS MONTH…
START: Meet as usual at 6:30 at St Mary’s Park in Seton Hill and roll out at 7pm SHARP. Every month Seton Hill Community Association sell snacks/drinks and provides bathrooms for us in the building in the park! ALSO, Race Pace Bicycles is always on hand to help out with last minute tweaks!
Check out what you need to bring here! **NOTE** There are several spots around Druid Hill Park and on the Fallway without streetlights. IF YOU HAVE LIGHTS, BRING ‘EM!
Bike Maryland will sell lights before the ride for $5 and $10. All proceeds will benefit the nonprofit dedicated to promoting bicycling, increasing safety, improving conditions, and providing a voice for bicyclists in Maryland (they’re real busy). Also guys, lights are important. Get ‘em if you don’t have ‘em.
Don’t have a bike? No problem! Baltimore City Department of Recreation & Parks will loan you one, for free! Just email BCRP.Bikes@baltimorecity.gov with your name, phone #, & height. If under 18, an adult will need to sign.
We will be riding under WEST COAST RULES, stopping at red lights. What does that mean? DON’T BLOCK ONCOMING TRAFFIC. Read this please.
DON’T LEAVE YOUR BIKE UNATTENDED. As many of you know, theft has been an issue at the rest stop. Be smart! Don’t leave your bike, even for a minute, without locking it up!
AFTER PARTY: This month we are joining St. Francis Neighborhood Center, Mount Royal Community Development Corporation, and Whitelock Community Farm for a great block party in Reservoir Hill! There will be all the usual beer, wine, food trucks, photo booth, music and dancing!
You must purchase TICKETS at the ticket table in order to get drinks! 1 ticket = 1 drink. Tickets are $4 each or 3 for $10. Cash is king. We do have a square reader, but cash will get your tickets quicker!
In order to drink, you need a wrist band! There is no charge for these but be sure to bring your ID!
When you arrive at the after party, please PUT YOUR BIKE INSIDE THE DESIGNATED FENCING. There will be LOTS OF POLICE and SECURITY inside the corral, so lock to your friends and have a good time! Bikes locked up outside of the fenced-in lot are MUCH more vulnerable to theft! For more info read here.
Bike Party continues to be a more and more expensive event. It is and will continue to be a FREE event, so consider making a donation here to help us keep the party rolling!
If you don’t already, follow our new Twitter and Instagram @bmorebikeparty. (cause FB wants us to pay them to give you all the necessary info!) Also, since hashtags are a thing, let’s unite with #bmorebikeparty!
