HEY BIKE PARTIERS! like a gangly teen who seems to have sprouted overnight, it has become clear that we have outgrown our home at the Washington Monument. Despite it’s iconic presence, recognizable stature, and central location, we have made the decision to move our start location. So, FROM THIS MONTH ONWARD, Bike Party will now start at PEARLSTONE PARK, which is between the Train Station at MICA and the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. please help spread the word and we look forward to seeing all your smiling faces at our new, more spacious meet-up point!
Follow @baltimorebikeparty on Instagram! So excited to ride with everyone again next week! As we gear up to celebrate ‘Baltimore’s 289th Birthday’, it’s important to acknowledge that the land’s history didn’t actually begin with us 🤔Indigenous people including Accohannock, Assateague, Piscataway, Nause-Waiwash, Piscataway, Pocomoke, and Shawnee lived here before any Baltimoreans. While we do celebrate, its also important to lament the injustice carried out against these people. And let it remind us of injustices being carried out today. We can do better, and hope bike party is a small step toward bringing people together 🙏🏽 Mural, bike, and 📸: @greggdealFridays photos are up! A huge thanks to @side_a_photo for these- Make sure to check them out for wedding/events/all your photo needs 🙌🏽 Also, the July ride is posted, so hop over to RSVP and invite your friends 😄 Link in profile.❤️ Thanks everyone for coming out last night! So much fun, love and PRIDE! 🌈 Mark your calendars for our next ride, celebrating Baltimore’s birthday! 🎉 A huge thanks to @side_a_photo and @charmcitydjing for keeping the party going all night, and @mixtastick and the @oldlinespirits team for taking care of us!
